Philippines Photo Gallery: Anilao ocean catfish

We took an underwater photography trip to the Philippines in December 2016.

Ocean (eel-tail) catfish have elongated, pointed or bluntly rounded, eel-like tails, The tail fin is formed by the joining of the second dorsal fin, the caudal fin, and the anal fin. Their stings are venomous. The fish are bottom feeders and use the barbels around their mouths to detect food.
